Betty Padgett was born in New Port New Jersey. At an early age the family moved to Florida. There she went to school, and began to sing in different school functions, such as the Glee club Etc.

Betty first made her career move in 1974. She formed an all girls group, they were known as Betty and the Q’s. It consisted of three other young ladies, Shirley Smith, Mary McCoy, and Carolyn Griffin. Betty went on to join a local band out of Fort Lauderdale Florida.

She began to play in many of the surrounding towns in the area. West Palm Beach Florida, Miami, Key West, Tampa, and on up to through different parts of Georgia. From There, Betty began to tour over seas to places such as Switzland, Germany, Paris, Mexico, Belize, etc.

In 1976 Betty recorded her first Album, “ Sugar Daddy” later in 1981, She released her second Album “ Sweet Feelings.  Again in 1998 she released her third CD “30
Second Man.


Betty has been the opening act for such great artist as, Denise Lasalle, Bobby Bland, Johnnie Taylor, Tyrone Davis, Marvin Sease, and many more.

In 2004 Betty released her forth CD “ Closet Lover” which features her single, Crazy over You” and He Made My day.

Then in 2006, Betty released her Fifth CD “ Never Coming Home”. Which She hopes will induct her into the Southern Soul Family.
    
    Because Betty Likes to sing about  everyday life, and  things that people actually
    Go through, she simply called her 6th CD that was released April 5th 2009   ( The Real Deal
